Danish design well known for their good, minimalistic style that meet not only estetics, but also funciionality. Danes are also known for the environmental consciousness and at Danish design centre in Copanhagen, they have set up preconditions for good design?
To consist of new elements or old elements with a new twist
That you don't need a users manual and that its obvious how to use it
To considers the effects on environment and makes it better
That its not for one use only and doesn't comply to todays trend of consumerism
That it doesn't manipulate and deceive users that it can offer something it does not
That it solves primary and preferably supplimentary problem - design just optimizes the function
That it has the power of fascination and adds to experience of senses
That it is focused on a user and solves a current situation of a user
That it is shaped and stylized to be attractive for the user
That it stands out from other from the market and reflects the quality of a product
In museum you can also find an electric car Mini-el city 'Ellert' done by Danish manufacturer El-trans. This vehicle has been produced in 1985 with design by Ray Innes. It was ment for one person and a child which take the central position in it. Mini-el city has only 3 wheels, doesn't have a doors at the sides, but an upper part of a car opens up.
In the museum there is also a bicycle Biomega that is foldable and that has a braided wire in the construction. When the bicycle is parked, this wire is used as a chain to secure it - this prevents theft of a bicycle - since if its damaged, the bike cannot be driven.
